Young Agents Seminars & Social
The Insurors Young Agents Committee has put together another great event to build on the fundamentals of up-and-coming industry professionals. This two part educational series and social offers attendees a great opportunity to learn marketing skills they can immediately put into practice, as well as receive approved training to become certified for sales in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Course 1 - Transformation in Agency Marketing
Marketing to today's consumer requires an entirely new way of thinking. In this fast-paced presentation renowned instructor Steve Anderson explains how your agency can use new technology tools to create a marketing system that will increase revenue.
In the first part of the course, Steve explores how insurance marketing is changing. And it's not in the way you think. He details how buying habits are changing and why using the Internet is the best marketing tool an agency has to gain new business.
He then explores the different facets of Internet marketing and provides specific examples that show how any agency can use these new tools to attract new customers. He also details the tools and techniques an agency can use to automate the follow up process.
Course 2 - NFIP Flood Seminar (4 CE)
Flood training instructor Sonja Wood of H2O Partners will teach this course on the NFIP and its background, rules, ratings, policies and products. The course is a requirement for any producers binding flood coverage. The course is approved for 4 hours of general CE credit.

Instructors
Sonja Wood, CFM
Sonja is a Senior Territory Manager for FEMA training contractor, H2O Partners, Inc. She is located in Austin and conducts trainings in several states. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager (ASFPM) and has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years. She received a commendation from the U.S. Federal Insurance Administrator, Jo Ann Howard, regarding Disaster Field Office work in Raleigh, NC (Hurricane Floyd damage).
Ms. Wood joined the National Flood Insurance Program in April 1994. Prior to that, she spent 7 years as an agent for American Family Mutual Insurance Company.
Steve Anderson
Steve has been a licensed independent agent for 30 years and is Executive Editor of The Anderson Agency Report (TAAR), a monthly newsletter dedicated to providing independent agents with the insurance technology information they need to more effectively manage and grow their agencies. He is also president of The Anderson Network, Inc. which was formed to help agents and brokers maximize productivity and profits using practical technology.
