Insurors has partnered with Individual HealthCare Specialists (IHS) to make an Individual Health Insurance program available to you in both an efficient and rewarding manner. IHS is a managing general agent for both of the largest writers; Blue Cross and Humana. Through this relationship you can reach these two markets with one submission.
Using this arrangement you can choose the amount of work that you want to do and assist your client with quotes from top companies with no set volume.
We have negotiated a commission level with IHS which is greater than what you would receive if your agency contracted with either company directly. There are two commission options. First, you can act as the agent, just like you would now; or second, you can receive half the commission for merely referring business that is written by IHS.
Remember this program is solely for Individual Health products and is not available for group policies. If you are already doing group business with these carriers this will not change your status. If you are not doing group business, you will be signing up to sell ONLY individual health contracts through IHS.
Signing up to make submissions with IHS is easy as a completing the appropriate steps:
1. If you are already appointed with HumanaOne, but are not affiliated with another Managing General Agency, fax a completed Agent Affiliation form to IHS at 615-661-6060, or e-mail the form to info@ihstn.com
2. If you are currently writing for HumanaOne, but are affiliated with another Managing General Agency, you can switch to IHS by completing this form and faxing it to IHS at 615-661-6060, or e-mail the form to info@ihstn.com
3. If you are are not appointed by either company, or you are only appointed by Blue Cross, you will need to complete this application for Blue Cross and this application for HumanaOne and fax them to IHS at 615-661-6060, or e-mail the forms to info@ihstn.com
